      <description>&lt;p&gt;Stephanie is a hydrogeophysicist with expertise in nuclear magnetic resonance and electromagnetic methods. Her research focuses on understanding how water moves through the vadose zone &amp;ndash; the portion of the subsurface above the water table. This work includes a combination of field surveys (mostly in depleted groudwater basins in California) and three-dimensional modeling work. Stephanie is based remotely at the &lt;a href=&#34;https://www.ars.usda.gov/pacific-west-area/davis-ca/sustainable-agricultural-water-systems-research/&#34; target=&#34;_blank&#34; rel=&#34;noopener&#34;&gt;Sustainable Agricultural Water Systems (SAWS)&lt;/a&gt; unit of the U.S. Department of Agriculture&amp;rsquo;s Agricultural Research Service.&lt;/p&gt;
