Stephanie is a hydrogeophysicist with expertise in nuclear magnetic resonance and electromagnetic methods. Her research focuses on understanding how water moves through the vadose zone – the portion of the subsurface above the water table. This work includes a combination of field surveys (mostly in depleted groudwater basins in California) and three-dimensional modeling work. Stephanie is based remotely at the Sustainable Agricultural Water Systems (SAWS) unit of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service.
